I found the leaflet & card extremely useful & when I emailed my IBD nurse, I knew what information was needed to help my issue get resolved professionally & more quickly.
I rang my ibd nurse and had the card in front of me. It helped to get everything across and not stumble over my words. They rang back in 2 hours which is also a first!
I’m recently diagnosed and have never had any other medical issues previously, so I felt quite lost when first referred to the IBD service. I used mine [guidance leaflet] today (just after it arrived!) and it really helped me.
My IBD team operates as an answerphone service and they call you back, so it helped me to make sure I provided the correct details to help out my IBD nurse as best I could. It meant our conversation was very helpful when she called me back.
